We are a very informal organization. We race Tuesday evenings starting in April after the time change until mid October with a several other events taking place on the weekends through the summer. Membership is very economical, $80 per family membership per year with no initiation fee. Boat storage runs $45 for a rack spot for a Laser or something with a mast that is stepped before each outing and $55 per year for ground spot. Based on previous experience we limit the size of the boats to monohulls about 16' and about 250lbs. Longer than 16' can be difficult to navigate around the other boats in the compound, anything heavier is a serious physical endeavour to get back up from the beach. We have dollies on site for member use. As it stands right now we have a waitlist to get a boat in the club compound.
There is an expectation of those that participate in the racing, to volunteer for race committee once a year, it very casual racing with a focus on participation and enjoyment. We have a club zodiac for doing race committee and those operating are now required to have Pleasure Craft Operators Card, it's inexpensive and easily obtained.

At our last annual general meeting it was agreed by the members that we change our membership year from May 1 to January 1 to better manage the compound. The objective is to have compound vacancies created by resigning members filled with dinghies on the waitlist for the beginning of the sailing season.
Membership dues for 2011 are due January 1st. Now that racing has started, for your convenience we will be accepting completed membership forms with cheques on Tuesday evenings at pre or post race times ie ~ 5:30 or ~7:30, or by mail. The address is on the membership form.
